Senescenct cells and cancer therapy

The human body tends to remove damaged cells independently through natural defence mechanisms. In some cases, however, these ‘senescent cells’ remain in the body and play an important role in the ageing process. Numeric Biotech, in collaboration with Erasmus MC, has demonstrated that its innovative drug is capable of effectively removing senescent cells in mice.
